James V.
I was wondering what I should get to carpet a 20 gallon tank I’m going to set up. Pearl Weed, Monte Carlo, or Dwarf Baby Tears? Which one is the most beginner friendly? I have never tried to carpet these before. im also open to any suggestions you have😀 Edited March 3, 2021 by James V. PlaneFishGuy
@James V. I have no practical experience so take this with a grain of salt but I am about to attempt to carpet a section of tank with Glossostigma. I got scared off of Dwarf Baby Tears by all the folks reporting (although not all) that CO2 is required for success. I liked the look of the Glossostigma and it seemed to have some decent beginner friendly reviews.
Brandy
I vote monte carlo. I grow in a low-medium light tank with no CO2. The tank does have ada amazonia. Slow but steady and thick carpet.
JettsPapa
If you don't plan to use CO2 then the pearl weed will likely be your best option.
