FishPioneer2021
I have read whiteclouds do best below 72 F. My tank currently ranges from 73-76 because it is winter and the room is heated. I have tried to cool the tank with little success. Is this temperature range acceptable? Or do I need to look into more cooling systems?
Administrators Cory Posted February 25, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 25, 2021 I wouldn't worry about it. Outside of very high temps, they seem to thrive. I've even overwintered them outside. At the same time they have gotten pretty hot outside as well.
shkote
I keep my Whiteclouds in the basement where their tank ranges from 66-70° in late fall and winter. In the spring and summer, they go outside in tubs and the water temperature ranges from 60-80° (outside temps can be anywhere from 50-110° in that time period) and I have never had any issues with them. The only difference I've noticed is when the temperatures are much warmer, they stop spawning. They are tough little fish.
