Fish Folk
Very beautiful! Look almost like Altums, to my untrained eye.
Jungle Fan
Regular Altum Scalare don't have the dotted yellow pattern and they don't show as much of the blue on their gills. Rio Nanay scalare are hard to find in fish stores. If you try to purchase them you are more likely to get the regular Peruvian scalare, as they both originate from Peru and most dealers even don't know there is a difference. The Santa Isabel scalare from the upper Rio Negro region have red dots but not quite as pronounced as the yellow pattern on the Rio Nanay scalare. Those two are some of my favorite angelfish, together with the Philippines bred Blue Silver Angelfish. When I kept a discus tank I was lucky enough to have some of the Santa Isabel and Blue Silvers but the Rio Nanay eluded me.
Jungle Fan
Those are the best clips I could find of the Santa Isabel, and the Blue, although the lighting in the video of the Blues isn't great.
Andy's Fish Den
I just bought a group of juvenile (nickel size body) angels that are supposed to be F1 Rio Nanay, hopefully they color up and turn out like these.
