Eyeless Potato
Hello all. I've seen mixed opinions on this... Do you typically quarantine new shrimp and snails? If so, would you also use medication treatment? Thanks.
Daniel
I don't quarantine shrimp or snails. It occurred to me that some people wouldn't want a disease to pass from new shrimp or snails to their current invertebrate stock. But some people might quarantine shrimp or snails to protect fish from possible infection.
jaydawnsin
It might be good to do so for a few weeks, typically 2 - 3 so that the fish diseases they carry will die off without a fish host. That's the advice I've seen, take it with a grain of salt. I haven't done it myself yet.
