Fish Folk Posted February 15, 2021 Share Posted February 15, 2021 So, since the Shiners are colored up and chasing -- more in spawning mode -- trying the breeding pan again. still light colored rocks, but not all bright white like before. Big change is moving powerhead _down_ to blow across the pan. The Shiners seem to really engage more with the water flow this way. Also, reintroduced the mop for possible Darter breeding site. Again, NANFA article was the tip for trying a mop with Darters. These aren’t fully mature either. Given spring sunshine in outdoor mini pond.... legendary! Lighting is one blue T-?? bulb originally intended for coral, plus a cheap 5,000 K LED shop light.
