Fish Folk
This is an ugly-looking video... but thought I’d post it anyway. Just checked the Scheeli mop, and pulled out more than a dozen eggs. Most usually end up being infertile, but even just a few fry would be a boon to the colony-building process.

Pulled about 50x eggs over the course of a week, and set up a small 2.5 gal hatching tank for them. They can take up to 21 days to hatch. Hoping to really kick off a proper colony here soon! Brian
Good luck. I haven’t kept or spawned any killifish in over 6 or 8 years. Maybe I should get some. I forgot just how much fun and challenging some can be. Have you spawned any of the peat spawned?

Colu
Beautiful colours love killifish but a don't like the fact most are annuals if they lived for 5-10 years i would definitely keep them
Fish Folk
Yes, they are short lived. These might go closer to 2 years.

Fish Folk
Here is an update video, showing a couple fry in this video: And a quick feeding of vinegar eels in this video:
Fish Folk
Updated count: carefully changing, water, and it appears there are at least 7-8 Scheeli fry. Still feeding vinegar eels. Doing a bit of speculative math... if 2/3 of eggs hatch in this context... and our Scheeli trio is laying 50 eggs per week... ca. 33 Scheeli per week... 😅 in business!!
Fish Folk
Alrighty . . . Here it is! BAP is on -- we've got 11x fry. Was finally able to count them all . . . And for those who've never properly seen the adults, here's a short vid of the parents:

Fish Folk
Moved the Killi fry from specimen container over to an in-tank net breeder. It was a bit sloppy... but they made it: All seem happy...
Fish Folk
Fundulopanchax Scheeli fry holding strong at 11x for BAP submission. Thriving in the net Breeder basket. Nurse-droid neocaridina still chillin’ with the gang. Found more newly hatched in another container tonight too 😎
