@CorydorasEthanthat is some massive java fern. dosing anything special? That pearl gourami is a stunner! Those cory albinos are thicc as MD says on his YT videos!

I don't dose any liquid fertilizers, but I do add root tabs under the water sprite plants. To grow the java fern all over the wood I take the little plantlets that it grows on the tip of its leaves and anchor them to the wood, where their roots then take hold.

Thanks!

UPDATE: I have been dosing Easy Green fertilizer as well as putting in root tabs, but my Java fern is still dying off. This and the water sprite in the tank. I am thinking of just letting them do their thing and then I'll add in some newer plants to see if those grow better.

This said, all the fish in the tank are healthy the green cory laid more eggs but they never hatched, as usual. The algae problem (black beard, green spot, and maybe hair algae it looks like) is going up again after I removed the flying foxes, so I might try a bristlenose pleco again. I already have two otocinclus but they don't seem to be enough. Any other suggestions for this algae problem?

It's been a while since I've updated this:

I've had several diseases go through my aquarium, and unfortunately I've lost all the julii cories, peppered cories, and pygmy cories in the tanks, which was pretty disheartening. Also, my plants continued to die off, so I ended up removing the majority of the java fern and placing it in the guppy tank where it might have better growth. I purchased a few honey gourami and a group of neon tetras a while later, and they are doing fairly well. With the new fish I also got some Cryptocoryne wendtii and Cryptocoryne lucens, which are both growing nicely in the aquarium. I also have been dosing a little more fertilizer and root tabs than normal, which might be why I am having more success with them.

Here's a look at the tank now:

Thanks for reading!

I just got some new cories! I was looking for some pygmy cories at the store, and they had Corydoras hastatus, which I've never kept before. I bought all ten of them for the 29 gallon. I also bought two crypt wendtiis, which turned out to be around 9 individual plants, so I have also added those.
