Pakal
I currently have a 10 gallon aquarium that's stocked with a (peaceful) betta, 4 endlers, and 4 julii corydoras. Would it be okay/safe to squeeze in 3 otocinclus? Edited February 10, 2021 by Pakal
Colu
It depends on how much algae is available for them

Colu
It can be hard to get them to eat man made food you can try cucumber blanched spinach and lettuce wafes spirulina flake food
Socqua
You can also try to promote algae growth: increase lights, increase (or decrease) fertilizer nitrates/phosphates, add a little extra food, etc. Just be careful your other parameters don't go out of wack. Also, I'd start introducing algae wafers early on with them so that hopefully they will start transitioning. good luck!
Lemon
will your lfs let you feed them various foods to see what they eat? then buy the ones that do eat

Administrators Cory Posted February 10, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 10, 2021 3 Otocinclus in a 10 gallon is going to be hard to keep fed. We feed ours algae, we pick the tank with the most algae when they come in. If they are still there after a week to 10 days they get repashy soilent green. But not all otos take to that. Otos are better suited to a larger tank that will produce more algae. A hillstream loach would work out much easier in a 10g.
Lemon
do you have tips on how train them on to repashy? I'm pretty sure they aren't being trained at my lfs. Edited February 10, 2021 by quirkylemon103
