Ramba Bamba
Hey guys, I have about 20 rainbow shiners in my community 75. The tank stays at about 77-78 degrees Fahrenheit. I’ve lost a few in the past week. My question is what is the max temperature for these fish. Is my temperature too high? Is this just something that happens with fish you buy online? All my other parameters are good. 6.8 ph, no nitrites, ~30ppm nitrates, no ammonia. Any help would be appreciated

Ramba Bamba
Yeah I was just wondering if they’d be ok long term in a 77 degree tank or should I put them in their own
Colu
I would lower your temperature they won't do well long term at 77 higher temperatures shorten life expectancy Edited February 10, 2021 by Colu

Ramba Bamba
Ok sooo they could live in that temperature but it just speeds everything up? Maybe I can power the high temperature to

Maybe I can power the high temperature to 74 They need high oxygenated water..even if the temperature is a bit high theyll be fine as long as the water is good theyll be fine
