Colu
What are your water parameters you could start treatment with paracleanse for parasitic infection it looks like some type of parasitic worm Edited February 8, 2021 by Colu
Bruce
@Colu I believe it to be Carp Lice/Anchor Worm. My nitrites are high, no ammonia. This is a quarantine tank so it's not a seasoned tank. I started him on the quarantine trio.

Irene
CyroPro from Hikari is what we use for anchor worms and fish lice. https://www.aquariumcoop.com/products/cyropro
Bruce
@Ireneif I dose this in my quarantine tank should I water change out the trio or are they compatible? Also it says it handles the effects of the anchor worm does that mean I have to manually remove the female anchor worm sticking out my fish? Irene
I'm not sure if CyroPro is compatible with the trio, so I would do a water change to clear out the trio, treat with CyroPro, give your goldfish at least a couple weeks of recovery time with no medication, and then try the trio again. CyroPro kills parasites by preventing them from molting, so no need to remove the anchor worm yourself. Also, make sure there are no shrimp or other crustaceans in the quarantine tank because CyroPro will affect them as well. Good luck with treatment!
