Gestaltgal
Now that we have been up and running for some time, I'm really loving the rhythm of plant trimming, cleaning, and feeding. With such a heavily planted tank, parameters are very stable and everyone is breeding like crazy! And with stable parameters, I'm not having to clean heavily or often anymore. The clean up crew keeps the algae at bay and the plants keep the water cycle moving.
Gestaltgal
Our first guppy babies are maturing! Meet our first male survivor. He just found his courage a couple days ago and now happily zips around the tank. We call him Rocket:

Gestaltgal
The shrimp like to gather on my anubias under the feeding ring during breakfast. They make a happy little shrimp tree.
Gestaltgal
Some of the fish from our first brood! The females seem to take longer to reach full growth.
Gestaltgal
We have some VERY pretty boys! But alas, we'll be picking some out to go to the LFS. Too many in the brood! Foreground: Cobra Guy and Rainbow Foreground: Rainbow, Spot, and Buttercup (stares straight at the camera! Never lets me get a profile 😆) 1
Beardedbillygoat1975
Those are some happy and well cared for guppies. What are you feeding yours? I’ve been doing frozen brine, mysis, various flakes and freeze dried tubifex. Started feeding black worms that I got earlier this week.
Gestaltgal
@Beardedbillygoat1975 Thank you! I use a rotation of freeze-dried blood worms, brine shrimp, and flakes. They also like to steal the shrimp food if they get the chance! 😆

Gestaltgal
Boys and girls separated for our first fish drop at the LFS! I don't know how local you can call it as it is an hour drive away, but we're glad to have the opportunity 🙂 Even in the bags, the boys and girls seem to stray towards each other!
Gestaltgal
Thought I would throw up an updated photo. We're really loving the plant varieties. We have 5 varieties total and the guppies love it! The tank seems to do very well balancing itself, and aside from the rare one-off passing of an older adult, the fish seem to be thriving.
