I'm guessing if they're acting aggressively to each other they must be in a small tank? I have a 10 gallon with platys and I had the same problem. I solved it by putting in lots of plants....or actually a few plants, and then the plants grew. The fish love to hide in them and I haven't seen any aggression now that they have tons of places to hide.

I wouldn’t go straight to adding females, it’s likely the males will start chasing them too. Does the tank have lots of cover? Is the line of sight broken up? Are they doing it all to each other or is one being targeted? Any other tank mates? Tank size?

Answer these and hopefully we can narrow it down 🙂

Yes the tank has lots of plants and logs and cover they seem to be doing it to each other The tank is 10 gallons and the tank mates are one beta and three Cory doras 1 of which is in a hospital tank and I am dosing the quarantine trio in the main tank since one of the platies is new
