Neon Tetra grey spots

Hi,

2 days ago I bought 20 Neon Tetra and one of them looks ill. It has gray spots on it's spine. I attach photos. Please help me. What is it? 😞

It looks like the start of neon tetra disease I would Quarantine the sick fish and monitor see if it develops any other symptoms it highly contagious so be careful not to spread it on aquarium equipment and nets

You could try treating with maracyn 2 or kanaplex  there is not much more I can suggest

Thanks, I made an aquarium specially for this little fellow and I added medicine you recommended she was stressed for 2 days but now she looks better but she lost her colors a little bit (I think It was because of a new environment stress). How long should I wait to see if she is better or not ?

I would run the full course of medicine, not sure what the directions recommend, and probably keep them isolated for a few weeks afterwards to make sure its been knocked out.

Edit: Also keep an eye on the water parameters, because the beneficial bacteria is most likely affected by the meds.

Hi 🙂 I just want you to know that my lil fish is feeling better 🙂 she is a little bit pale still but she does not have those gray spots anymore. I hope she will be cured soon.
