JaredL
I'm re-building my 29gal aquarium. I have over 100 rcs. I've been attempting to catch all the shrimp and move them to my 10gal. My trap consists of a water bottle with the top cut off and turned inside out like a funnel, and a shrimp pellet inside for bait. I've managed to catch alot and move them, but my panda corys keep getting caught and the whole process has taken a week now with only about half the shrimp moved. Does anybody know a better way to do this?

Will Billy
Daniel posted a picture of this minow trap i will post below. Something like that may work. Either that or try to gently syphon them with a wide hose into a separate container.
JaredL
I feel like that's kinda what I mimicked with the water bottle. I do have a big siphon I might try. Just draws water out so fast.
Fonske
I second the siphon suggestion. Every time I change water, some shrimps take a journey down the hose and into the bucket and they seem totally fine with it. To make the siphoning process more gentle, I would fill the destination container with a little bit of water and place it so that the difference in the water levels between the tank and the container is not too big. Alternatively, maybe lowering down the water level in the tank and catching with a big net.
