Possible fungus infection killing fish :(

I recently picked up 6 new fancy guppies from the aquarium co op store in Everett. I drove the couple hours home and properly introduced the fish. Two days later I noticed one of the males looked to have a white fungus growing on his back half (can't figure out how to upload pics). I knew this is highly contagious so I opted to treat whole tank instead of hospitalization tank, i treated with maracyn and ich-x properly. The next morning the male was dead and later that day I noticed another male showed signs, the white fungus was growing slightly on his body and some around his mouth. I continued the maracyn treatment but he was dead the next morning. So far the rest of the fish so no signs and seem healthy, ill continue the 5 day maracyn treatment,, I'm just really concerned. I continuously check the water parameters and they're all good readings, I even turned the temp up to promote healing. Please any advice would help!

Ammonia: 0- .10 ppm

Nitrite: 0-.10 ppm

Nitrate: 5-10 ppm

Gh: around 150 ppm

Ph: 7.4

I keep it at 78 but upped it a few degrees for now. Figured out how to attach pics for reference.

amonia and nitrite are too high. They need to be at 0, do a waterchange. Nitrate is a bit low too. If you have tried maracyn and that didn't work try salt at 3tsp a gallon.

Theyre so low, basically negligible. Ammonia consistently reads 0 to maybe a very slight level of green but probably just my eyes playing tricks on me and they stay steady there. Nitrite is the same. All I've read they're well within the safe measure. Says not to do a water change til the maracyn treatment is complete, that'll be Saturday. Thank you.

Anything above 0 is harmful to fish, regardless of what the package says. It seems that its at 0 based on what you explained. I'm also wondering if its a parasite. Heres what I do:

-Do the salt treatmetn suggested above

-Treat with paraclense at the same time as the salt

What kind of salt you reccomend? Some say Epsom some say others, I see a lot of conflicting info. Also heavily planted tank, will salt kill plants?

Yes the salt treatment will kill the plants 😞. So I would start off with paraclense, paraclense is plant safe. If that doesn't work give us an update and let us know, we will help you. As of right now, no salt treatment only paraclense.

Thanks for your help friend! I'm really enjoying this hobby. Only been at it about half a year and it's so much fun!
