Connor Elliott
Can I sterilize fish tank equipment with really hot water?
FrozenFins
Yes. I have done this before and it worked fine! I sterilized my nets and gravel vac with boiling water by pooring it all over the objects and then dipping them in a bowl of hot water and then letting them dry for 24 hours. Squeegee79
Hot water or even bleach depending which equipment. For most stuff though, hot water is adequate.

Also I was wondering I took a fish out of my display tank and in quarantine for wasting disease should I gravel vac my main display in case he left parasites in the substrate? Do you always need to worry about the substrate when deworming fish?
