BBQRacer
I'm new to planted tanks and I'm grateful I found this COOP. The videos have been priceless. My questions is, will I need more than one light for my tank. I'm sticking with low light plants and I have a Fluval 3.0. The tank is fairly deep. With substrate it will range between 22" and 18" deep. I don't plan on running Co2. The full dimension are 30"x19"x24". Someone recommended two lights at that depth. Thanks in advance. FrozenFins
I have a nicrew light runing on a 16 inch deep tank and its growing plants just fine, and I'm sure two inches deeper it would still work just fine. So a Fluval 3.0 would work great for a 18inch deep tank.
FrozenFins
also I beleive cory has 3 fluval 3.0s on his 800 gallon which I think is 40ish" tall, so 18 inches will be no problem.
SawdustGnome
I have a 29 gal with a Fluval 3.0. It definitely is strong enough. I actually only run it at 50% power. Bently Pasco has a few youtube videos that are very informative covering the Fluval 3.0. I suggest taking a look.
