Hello all. I've been fish keeping for about a year now, and have gotten really obsessed. There's a 20 gallon pea puffer tank in my office, and a 55 gallon community in the living room. I'm here to learn and share ideas. Cheers!

Welcome.  Do you mind if I ask how many puffers you have?  I have 2 in a 40 gallon community tank and am considering more.

There are four in there. I've had no issues with aggression at all. I've kept it heavily planted, with plenty of breaks in sight lines. I think you could do ten in a 40, no problem.

Hi everyone, I'm Dustin greetings from Wisconsin. Glad to be here and able to talk some fish. I've been in the hobby for almost a year now. I'm currently breeding variatus platies and green corydoras. Here's one of my 2 tanks. Still figuring some fertilizing out, there than that everything's going great.

Hi everyone I came across this forum on my search to figure out what the tinted/foggy white bubbles on my Betta's lair (his name is Vlad he's a Petsmart 'rescue' it only seemed fitting to give him an evil lair) I've never seen these before so hopefully they aren't harmful he's been through enough already it took weeks to get his color to come through and the fin rot to go away so I'm beyond grateful to have found all of you I'm somewhat new to Betta care I typically have goldfish but after my last two passed away after 8.5 years I wasn't ready for another fish until I found this little guy suffering in a foggy cup

Hello everyone I’m very new to the forums but I’ll try to get the hang of it. I have a 75 gal with all young angel fish (6 Peruvian Altum and 6 Red Shoulder), along with 4 Bolivian Rams plus 6 (1in) barbatus corydora. Also in Gilroy, California 🙂

Hello from Arizona.

I'm a noob. I have always wanted to have a couple of Black Moor Goldfish, so I have taken the plunge into this hobby. I have spent the last several months reading and watching tons of videos on how to get started. I'm currently on week 3 of cycling a fishless, planted, 37 gallon aquarium. I have fallen in love with Aquarium Co-op and am now addicted to the wealth of knowledge that is Cory. I didn't even know this forum existed until a few minutes ago. I thought I would join and say hello. I just redesigned my aquarium landscape so it is a little cloudy in the picture.

Hi everyone-

My name is Robby and I am from Washington State living about 30 minutes south of Seattle. Recently just started getting into the hobby and became hooked the past 5 months when my wife and I was were asked to take care of my nieces Betta fish.

There’s so much to learn in the aquarium world! From general fish keeping, breeding, plants, cool DIY setups, that I can’t stop wanting to learn and see more. Looking forward to hanging out on the forums and learning from others!

Cheers,

-Robby

Salutations fish fanatics! My name’s Fisher( yes I know) and I hail from Cottonwood, Ca. No tanks up and running at the moment but I’ve got one in the works( a 40gal I think). I do have a 400gal~ frame-pool/garden pond with an untold number of mosquitofish, a few trapdoor snails, and a creeping water primrose. I wish all the best of luck in their future endeavors.

Hello...

I had a couple of tanks growing up and through college, then took a break from the hobby in my 20s. Last year, my wife passed away from cancer, and I decided a fish tank would be a good distraction for my kids and me. Now there's 4 tanks (plus a QT tank), and my daughter has decided I have enough.

I disagree.

The picture below is of my oldest, yet newest tank. I started with a 20g with a few platties, and they decided a 40G was more their speed.

Good evening fellow fish keepers! I have finally taken the plunge and am getting back into the hobby. Only … 20 or so years away from it? Which means I am only resetting up my 10 gallon. Just got my plants from Cory and crew last night. I was worried they wouldn’t have survive the travel from WA to FL? Then back to Albuquerque, NM but they did and are acclimating to the tank right now. So I’ve got a few weeks for cycling before I get some new fishies.

I’m really excited to be back in the hobby. I loved it the last time I had fish and during the pandemic last year I came across Cory’s videos on YouTube and all the resources on the Aquarium Co-Op site.

This will be my first fully panted tank and I know I’ll be hitting up everyone here for all my questions. Looking forward to getting to know y’all!

Greetings Everyone!!!

First time here and a first time fish keeper. I have been in the hobby since Christmas of 2020 when my SO's daughter got a betta. I started freaking out cause I didn't know how to take care of it and down the rabbit hole I went. 9 months later I have 13 active tanks and more tanks in storage for when I move to a house where I have more room. I got really lucky, my SO loves animals and thinks fish are "just adorable" so now I have way to many tanks.

All of that is to say that Aquarium-Coop has directly contributed to my addiction and absolutely to my education. It was Cory's videos that helped me along and I owe so much to the Coop. So here are my tanks with stories...

1731749050_Karastank.jpg.87888433c2ddcbc45ad61431deaacb33.jpg

The betta was in a one gal cube and that was to small and I felt bad for the guy so I immediately got a 10, and then came the clean up crew, Albino Cory's. Today we now have successfully breed those albinos. Sadly, the first betta passed because cycling fish tanks is hard when you're first starting out.

Next came the shrimp1032728474_Shrimptank.jpg.af0c0d2d30a340a2d8c03099f7631d0e.jpg

This guy was next. 5.5 desk tank that is still there. There are black rose shrimp and snails in here and over time different fish have gone in and out but the shrimp have stayed so this tank has been dubbed, Shrimp Castle

and then it took off from there

Community.jpg.b5758448051bf62b3b146bdf1fe29897.jpg

bought 2 75's after about 2 months in the hobby. Top tank was meant to be an oscar tank and it took 9 months to get there. The bottom tank is a community tank and has gone through so many interations that it looks different about every 3 months. Top tank runs a 407 and bottom tank runs Lee's premium UGF.

Here's some close ups from the tanks

I added a grow out cause the tanks had some aggressive fish thank needed a time out sometimes.

Add what happened when I started diving deep into this... I had to quarantine...and i needed more room for a tank for that, so...

I clean them out regularly but my PH kept crashing when they were bare bottom so i ended up just planting them. They are cycling right now waiting for the next fish. This is the rack

This is also my Blue Dream grow out tank. above them is my first horrible attempts at aquascaping and what will be my guppy tanks. I have out door tubs that im getting ready to bring in and all those fish are going in those tanks.

Finally, I have a 20H sorority and a 6 gal Cube for a pea puffer.
