Harpsandfish
Does anyone know why it is recommended to not feed for one week after dosing?
AdamTill
Likely so that there’s less ammonia produced by the fish and less likelihood of needing to do a water change (which would require redoing the meds) Edited January 6, 2021 by AdamTill
Harpsandfish
Ah. That makes sense. Thanks @AdamTill
Alesha
I've also heard Cory say to feed very lightly. I usually do that after the first water change, for the same reason. But I feel better giving them food. 😉

Requires a generously oversized qt tank or willingness to redose meds though.
ChemBob
If I remember some of the videos correctly, it also has to do with the internal parasite portion of the meds. If they have internal parasites, they will be passing those as the meds kick in. Normal feeding amounts may result in some blockages in the digestive system I think.
