OceanTruth Posted December 30, 2020 Share Posted December 30, 2020 (edited) I'm not a 100% sure, but I think I heard Cory say in a video that he sometimes soaks his puffers' frozen foods with vitachem. Although I'm not completely sold on the benefits of vitachem I don't think it would be harmful if that's what you are worried about. H.K.Luterman Posted December 30, 2020 Share Posted December 30, 2020 (edited) If you don't feed a variety of foods, soaking with Vitachem insures the fish gets everything they need. I don't think it's absolutely necessary but just a good peace of mind sort of thing. I soak tilapia pieces in vitachem and feed to my bichirs and ctenopoma. The bichirs will take pellets, but the ctenopoma is very picky. So the soaking is just an insurance thing.
