Ich glotetra sponge filter

Dreaded ich...sigh.  I had a question about sponge filter.  Currently my glotetra is in a 5 gallon quarantine tank, temp 76.  I treated with the 3-med trio.  The pic below is after 4 days, ready to do water change.  My question was when treating ich should I remove the sponge filter and only keep the air stone?  Also, still seeing ich, should I treat it another 5 days?

No leave your sponge filter in the tank if you take it out you get ammonia and nitrites spikes stressing your fish out more

You can leave the sponge in the tank during the med trio application. I also believe Cory suggests leaving the meds in the tank for 7 days before doing a 30% water change. After that, let them rest for a week or two. Then do another med trio treatment. Hope that helps. :)

Leave your sponge filter in the tank and continue treating till you dont see any signs of ich.

Thanks everyone for the info!  I am going give Mango a beak before next treatment and leave sponge filter in.
