One of my killie fish seems to have some red stuff near the anal fin. I'm wondering if its Columnaris worms.

Yesterday another fish died with red marks. The fish is swimming and chase the female but I feel like there is something going on with the tank.

I have dose with med trio last sunday. Not sure if I should continue or do any other meds.

looks like Camallanus worms.  I believe columnaris is white bacterial blotches.

I just had these worms in my jack dempseys, i would recommend levamisole from select aquatics.  The worms can cause an impaction that can kill the fish even after treating the worms, you might also want to try a low dose of epson salts to help with constipation.

There are some good Camallanus worms resources in the following thread:

Yes, get levamisole (and the measuring spoon) from selectaquatics.com. There are full dosing instructions on the website, and it totally works. Best of luck!

Thank you Irene. I have learnt a lot of things from you. Luckily I watched your livebearers video recently and ordered some from Greg Sage. I dosed the fish yesterday and already see the fish lost the worms.

I recently successful treated a 20 Gallon tank with camallanus worms. I used Fenbendazole. I bought dog deworming meds at tractor supply and mixed 1/3 teaspoon of the powder with flakes and a bit of water. Also added a slight bit of episom salt to help pass the worms. The Fenbendazole actually killed the worms in about 2-3 hours time. They no longer appeared red on the bit hanging out of the anus. They turned a pale gray and was passed shortly after. I then waited 7 days and repeated the dosage.
