Larry
I'd love to add shrimp to my 46 gallon tank, but I'm worried that the current fish will either eat them or no leave them alone. Tetras (Neons, Black Skirt, Glow (Sorry to say), Platties, Siamese Algae Eaters, Danios, one 7" long Common Pleco, planted tank with Water Sprite, Cryptocorynes, Amazon Swords, Vallisneria, Hair Grass, etc. Would shrimp survive in my tank with those tank mates? Yanni
It might work with bamboo shrimp or some big amanos. The smaller neocaridinia and caridinia shrimp would probably not do too well. You can try because it seems that there are a lot of hiding spots!
Larry
Thanks for the advice. So, do you feel that Cherry Shrimp are just too small given the fish I have in the tank? I'm still worried about my large pleco. I've had him/her for a long time, but he's gotten large enough that he is brutal on the plants at night. Is there any way to get him adopted to a someone with a larger tank, so I don't have to always worry about things like adding shrimp or even Corydoras which I have tried several times, only to have all of them die or not found.
