umfalcon
Hello everyone, I am setting up two 75 gallon tanks that are 21 inches deep. Given the depth of the tanks, will the Stingray light provide enough "oomph" to grow plants at that depth?
AdamTill
Few things. Original Stingray, or newer one? The original ones put out about 20 par at your depth, which is pretty firmly low light territory. That’ll work for some, and especially plants up on hard scape or floaters, but it depends on what your plan is.

I am going to use the two 75g tanks as part of my swordtail breeding operation. I am going to put some java ferns in them so I'm think about going with the Stingrays versus the Fluval 3.0s. I intend for the plants to help with filtration and cover, so while the plants are important they are not the most important point of focus.
