Decent light for use with external timer?

One of my favorite features of the discontinued Coop light was that you could set the brightness and use an external timer.

 

I’m looking at other lights, and the documentation always seems to be vague on this point.  
 

Does anyone know of a decent light that has a feature?

We use smart controls and/or regular external timers for our tank lights, so we'd also like to know. We have been using Seaoura brand for a month in our 40 gal (see sig) but too early to tell how well it works for our low lech application. It is only at 20% brightness in the photos.

I saw those.  Do they work well with the smart timers?  Do they turn on when they first get power and do they remember their old settings?

Yes to both! That is, I don't use the built-in timer and have it on the white (W) setting but reduced to 20% with the other button. With external timer, it powers on with the same settings.
