Lost power for about 12-13 hours. ACO air pumps ran on battery the entire time without issue. One of my HOB that I have (in addition to air pump powered sponge filters in that tank) seems to no longer work so I'll need to mess with that or get a new one. But otherwise, all fish are well. Didn't get too cold in my place even with no heat. As far as I can tell I didn't lose any fish and everything went fine.

So, basically, thanks backup battery air pumps!

I’m glad it went well for you. Brilliant. 🤩

I’m in the uk and I can’t get the pumps here yet. Maybe one day Cory says.

I’ve found plug in pumps here and battery only pumps but not the two combined like the Coop ones.

I’ve just bought battery only one which is portable for fishermen it’s so dang noisy 😂

What type of HOB do you have that quit working? If it had been it service for a long time, the impeller may simply be stuck. Disassembly, cleaning and reassembly may be all it takes.

Yeah I'm going to pull it apart tomorrow. It's a Tetra Whisper 40. Hoping that's all it Is.

Sometimes I just stick  a pen or something thin into where the impeller lives and it knocks it back into life.  When the situation calms down I can pull the  motor and relube the impeller.  I'm a fan of these air pumps...Love the back up and especially the flow adjustability without having to fool with flow controls in the lines.
