I've seen this in a saltwater forum, and now that I am doing some 3d printing. I'd like to have a decent list of "proven" free 3d prints for freshwater. By proven, they are refined, someone has actually made them and liked what they accomplished and is widely accepted as useful for a wide range of users. A niche part print for a rare use case while done really well, doesn't need to jam up the list. I will edit this list as I test our more prints or have others who can vouch for the prints.

@Surreal 3D File for Dean's Fry Rack Frames

Ziss Brine Shrimp Wall Hanger
Alternative Ziss Brine Shrimp hatchery Stand

Red Lizard Whiptail Breeding Cave System

Small batch Brine Shrimp hatchery

Here are a few more 3D printed items that I think meet your requirements

Stand for the Ziss hatchery - This is maybe no longer needed since the ziss stands now come with extenders, but I made this a while ago to free up some space under the hatchery. It also has a drip tray that slots into the bottom of the stand to keep your table clean.

Wall mount bracket for the Ziss Hatchery - Not my design, but this is what I use for my hatcheries now. The Ziss hatcheries are perfectly level with the wall when they are placed in the bracket, and the light clip is very useful.

Whiptail Cave - This is something I just sent to Dean in the mail too. A cave system that I use to breed my red lizard whiptails. Each tube can be removed for easy parent/egg access. Got a few good spawns from this cave.

I'm currently testing out a 3d printed under gravel filter, but jury is still out on it.

Safe to say @Lowells Fish Lab Patreon is worth the $5. https://patreon.com/lowellsfishlab

@Cory I'm starting to model the "cap" piece of your sponge filters. I lost two of them and haven't been able to snag replacements without buying entire new filters. Would you be fine with me sharing the link once it's finished?

Seems ok to me. I agree Lowell's creations are worth the $5. But the official list is staying with only free as I don't want it to be a place where people are going out of there way to try and sell. I don't think Lowell or you are, and in fact Dean and I encourage lowell to offer the plans to make some money to keep working on making them better 🙂

I wanted to print this one and try it out. @Randy loved a commercial version of this in his fish room.

Yea, this was pre-Co-op Brine Shrimp eggs.  I felt this was the easiest way to combat poor hatch rates / eggs mixing in with the BBS when trying to harvest from a soda bottle or ziss hatcher.

Even with our eggs I would not be sad to use something like this for smaller BBS needs and a less complicated process.

Could you guys make coop google drive or similar for housing aquarium cad files?  Like a grabcad for aquarium parts.  Even simple things like unions, bulkheads elbows would be helpful. Nobody is going to 3d print those parts as they’ll leak but would be nice for modeling a setup. I could see it as a useful resource.
