5.5 gallon journal

Starting a journal for my old 5.5 gallon. I actually took some pictures when setting up, so hope you enjoy! (I started with cheap plant lights on Amazon, so that’s why you see changes later on in lighting, because I got a hygger light when moving the tank.

Just found some daphnia on the water’s surface. Might make a good treat for the tetras

Oh I thought that was one of those planters for doing emersed plants

 

I didn't mean that substrate comment as a criticism. There's a YouTuber called Fish Tank Reviews who says that and now whenever I see deep substrate it reminds me of that. Your plants look great so it's working. 

 

Plus the shellder is a nice touch lol

Apparently he had a condo fire, killing off almost all of his fish

Got a brand new filter! Shrimp love it. And yes, I have a duckweed infestation now.
