Red Rainbowfish
Anyone know what may be going on with this fish? You can sort of see a healthier looking tetra for comparison. I saw it eating and schoaling with the other tetras, albeit sticking closer to the decorations than the others. I see no other issues in its behavior. When I grabbed the test strips, they appear to be old, so please bear with me as they are likely inaccurate. The parameters are: * 80°F * 75-100 GH * No chlorine * 40‐80 KH * 6.7-7.2 PH * I have no readings on ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate. I am certain the first two aren't present with all the algae and plant growth I've seen since this tank started getting more attention again. Now, all these fish were recently (2-3 months ago) purchased from Petco and dropped right into the tank without quarantining. What are your thoughts? Red Rainbowfish
Update: nothing else seems to have changed. The rest of the fish look fine, and the sick tetra doesn't seem any worse or better. I haven't done anything besides feeding the fish. Don't know if that helps or not.
Colu
Could be fin rot what I would do is get ammonia nitrite nitrate liquid test kit or strips just in case something off with your water parameters and I would do a course of kanaplex or maracyn2 as most case of fin rot are caused by gram negative bacteria @Red Rainbowfish
Red Rainbowfish
Thanks @Colu. I will for sure get some new test strips regardless. I just didn't have any fresh ones on hand. I will see if there is any of either med on hand before I get some.

I treated them for fin rot and it eventually grew back, took sometime though. I’m not sure about the pale colour though.
