Can you sex a striped Raphael catfish?

A few months ago I bought a striped Raphael  catfish and decided to name it Larry since I figured it would not be possible to actually tell if it was a make or female. Shortly afterwards I found that plecos can be sexed and I was wondering if this is possible for Raphael catfish? If it is at what size is it possible? Mine is about 2 1/2-3 inches.

More than likely your guy is a bit too small to have much hope with determining sex.

That said, females will usually be a bit more rounded when viewed from above. Going to be very difficult to tell what's what without a bunch of raphaels together to compare against.

I'd just call it Larry!
