JS Fish
For chilli rasboras, I would personally go with atleast 5 gallons. 10 or 20 would be better. I have two rasboras of very similar species to chilli rasboras in a 20 gal and they use all the space. For 2.5, bumble bee goby would be nice or mexican dwarf crayfish
Odd Duck
A 2.5 tank would be super small, even for tiny chilis. A tank that small is quite difficult to maintain in balance, too. Better with shrimp only that have a lower bioload.
mynameisnobody
Swap it for a 10 gallon, the footprint isn’t that much bigger yet makes a world of difference.
TheBlueBeetle
yeah, I'd go a little bigger. I keep chilis and shrimp in a 15 gallon flex and the chilis ignore the shrimplets. Mostly I think this is helped by the fact that the chilis have room to stay up higher in the water column than the shrimp. In closer quarters this may be an issue, although I have to say, in my experience, chilis are too small to eat anything much larger than a fresh hatch.
