I did not attach a file or pic. I literally copied the HTML youtube address text into the post. So not sure what the issues is.

I blame the forum software, like you said, very buggy!

It started recently, along with pictures being 'flipped'

You can copy and paste the following partial address into Youtube and hit search and it will pull up: u5EbL6qu6os

Kind of a pain though.

Beautiful!! It could have been because it was posted as a short?

Ya maybe. Not sure. Although, I think all of my posts were shorts by youtube that I posted in the past.

What is wild about this Twinstar 600s is that my Fluval 3.0 even at surface level at 100% power could not make my reds pearl or produce O2 bubbles. The twinstar is like 4 inches+ above the water surface. I am impressed.

Yup, I stalked your youtube. I was happy to also see Oscar on the mend. As for the 3.0 mine gets my stems to pearl but seems to have problems with getting plants to pearl at substrate level.

IMO this is on account of weaker reds.

Thank you for subscribing to my YouTube channel! Super relieved Oscar is doing better. Very stressful time when he was sick and dying. Still signs of fin rot but hopefully continues to get better. Ya, same here with the Fluvial 3.0, my substrate plants never grew. Most died even though they arrived by shipment healthy. I am running Co2 recently and now with a much superior light and they are pearling and bubbling O2. Going to add a lot more plants to the tank if everything seems to improve. One thing about the Twinstar 600s that I do not like is the lack of an app or wifi control. I did order a wifi controller from Amazon that hooks into the Twinstar power cord so I will be receiving that today and evaluating it.

I just Amazoned the twinstar and thought the 6~10h day was just crazy short!!! I run my 3.0 for 14h days, my substrate plants haven't died but haven't exactly thrived. Maybe boosting the reds will help and hopefully save me a few dollars from impulse buying another light to 'try'.....

The reds on the Fluval are so weak as to be irrelevant. My opinion of the Fluval 3.0 is that it is hopelessly overrated.  Poor light coverage, poor light spread, horrible color rendering from horrible bulb choices…

It does have an awfully nice app though….

The A/B comparison between the Fluval plant 3.0 and any of the premium lights out there is really beyond even what photos capture. The in person effect is convincing.

My Single Chihiros WRGB 2 Pro puts out nearly 70 watts of power at full output.

A single Fluval Plant 3.0 puts out 32 watts… the price of the Chihiros 60 is available from Chihiros direct for $329.00. A single Fluval plant 3.0 is around $180.00.  So two Fluvals would be more money than a single Chihiros.

I believe there are cheaper premium rgb lights than the Chihiros. I am not so much advocating for the Chihiros so much as a true RGB light.

I also think the fear of Blue light driving Algae is well overdone. On my Chihiros I am running 90  red, 70 Green and 105 Blue.  Plants have receptors for Red and Blue light.  We add green cause many of our plants are green and would look weird without green light being added.  The plants also can absorb benefit from green. Maybe be ause blue and yellow make green… I dont know…

I run my lights strong and only 8 hours a day.I am measuring PAR at 80 at middle of midground plants under the light.  In the edges at substrate level I am getting around 40.  I have room to increase power but giving plants time to adjust before trying to increase a bit more.

as @Mmiller2001 is fond of saying…”When you know, you know.”

I am no expert infract I am a noob with regards to aquatic plants.  I just know my Fluval 3.0 was not cutting it in my 16gal tank. The Twinstar produces unbelievable photosynthesis in all my plants I have never seen with the Fluvial light at 100% power. I am using the higher setting on the Twinstar for 7.5 hrs and then on very low at night time until 11:00 pm. Test and measure is my mode with this. If I had a PAR meter, I could really hone in on what the plants need for light. Maybe sometime in the future I'll buy it. But I would rather test and measure and use the $600 costs on other items like new rare plants to make the tank more attractive and balance the nitrogen load.

Bro, like where are you at? Can I borrow your PAR Meter? j/k LOL. I agree with you. Fluval is a no go for my plant needs. Chihiros WRGB is a quality light as well from all I read. Will be interested to hear what your personal take is on it.

My PAR meter is the Photone app on my I phone with a piece of white copy paper over the camera as a diffuser in a ziploc freezer bag.

under $7.00 for subscription for Full Spectrum Led setting.

It is not as exact as an Apogee PAR meter and nowheres near as convenient, but it gives you useful information…
