Its Hutch
Does this look like roots or the plant? Wondering if i need to turn it over or not. First time growing one of these guys.
KBOzzie59
I'd say roots, "contractile roots". My thoughts, the plant will want to anchor itself before sending up leaves and be swept away.
lefty o
imo , thats the plant portion. give it a few more days, and it should start to be more apparent.
Fishmonger_X
I think that is the leaves and not the roots. Yours is doing better than mine. I'd leave it be.
Asmith9804
Dont worry it took mine 2-4 weeks to get going with leaves. So far I have about 7 leaves but no flowers. I am waiting patiently.

Moe
Roots. I'd flip it.
Ben_RF
Maybe turn it on its side? The nice thing about it is that it will sort itself out on its on.
ChefConfit
That's leaves. All the way to the right(circled in red) you can very clearly see the arrow shape of the first leaves dwarf lilly's put up. It also looks like yours (like mine) is sprouting then those sprouts are putting off roots(circled in green) rather than the roots coming directly from the bulb. Basically if it's red and growing towards the light it's the plant, and if it's white and growing towards the substrate it's roots.

Kuhli Kev
I agree with chef. In my experience If you see growth and it’s not dying, you’re doin it right. I’d leave it right where it is. Roots usually will find the substrate on their own.
