Quarentine meds trio question

So im only using the paracleanse and maracyn medications currently, i have the ich x arriving in a few days so im treating my 40 gallon community tank with those two under aquarium co-op instructions for the whole trio, minus ich x obviously.

I have a hyrda issue but i believe the paracleanse or maracyn are killing them off as the water is cloudy??! If so can i do a water change and re-dose according to the amount of water taken out or wait the full treatment week to then do the water change according to med trio instructions?

Also according to aquarium co op instructions it says treat once then let the fish soak in it for one week to then do a 25% water change, wait 2 weeks and then dose again the 4th week? Do i put in carbon for those 2 weeks or wait till after the 2nd round of treatment for week 4

I followed the Coop's instructions. I put the inserts back in after the first week once I did my water change. My tank was really cloudy for the whole week. My fish seem fine now but I'm still going to do the second dose just to be sure.

You can put the carbon back in after a week if you want. The only Ned that needs to be resized without an active infection is the paracleanse.

@Fishmonger_X @Cory i have ordered the trio medication pack and expecting to be delivered this week, before applying trio medication do we need to remove all the media pads like ammonia, nitrite , phosphate, coarse sponge pad from hang on back filter? and not apply any fertilizers or fritz ultimate or any water conditioners

i am going to try this first time, any recommendations and advice

Yes. Remove everything. You don't want any type of filtration to stop the medication from cycling through the tank. Don't turn off filters or bubblers or anything like that. The fish still need water movement for oxygen, but the filter cartridges will kill the medication.

@Fishmonger_X Thanks for the reply. so before applying medication, do a 50% water change, remove all filter pads and i usually put water conditioner and easy all green fertilizer. so until the medication is complete, don't apply water conditioner and fertilizer as well ?

Take all filter pads or cartridges out. The easy green would probably be fine but I would not use it for a week. The plants should be fine without it. Add the water conditioner after the water change and just wait.

I have had no bad results with de-chlorinating the water prior to meds and would recommend it.

I don't recommend taking out all media/pads. I only recommend taking out carbon and purigen.

Yes. Take everything out. The medicine needs to cycle through the water.
