GiddyOwl
Hello! I just got my new banana plant yesterday and I wanted to make sure I’m planing it right. I didn’t see any roots so I’m having it sit on the substrate. Is it okay? Thanks! Edited November 22, 2020 by GiddyOwl Added pic

lefty o
thats just fine. if you really wanted it to stay in 1 spot, you could put the bannanas into the gravel a 1/4" or so. definately not too deep though or you risk rot.

Ali
It will eventually shoot little roots down. I just sat mine where I wanted it like you did.

Will Billy
If you have fish that move plants around like my dojo loaches i created a temporary crater with my gravel and used plant weights to prevent them from being knocked around so much until they rooted.
