JS Fish Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) --------> Saturday, Feb 3, 2024 I started this tank about a week and a half ago. For the hard escape I used 40 pounds of white sand, mountain stone, and mopani drift wood. These photos are of it the day I set it up. I just today after about a week of cycling the tank added in plants. The plants I used are: ● java moss ● moss ball ● water wisteria ● dwarf baby tear drops For stocking, I'm planning on: ● 3 otocinclus ● cherry shrimp ● chili rasboras --------> Teusday, Feb 6, 2024 Today I added: ● 3 otocinclus ● 1 monte carlo plant Edited February 6 by JS Fish 1
xXInkedPhoenixX Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) Wonderful start! Do yourself a HUGE favor. Be patient and don't add either the shrimp or the Otos until a significant amount of time has passed and the tank pretty well established. :-) They will do better and have more food availability. Add the Rasboras first. I think this tank is going to look great! That Mopani will add a lot of nice tannins to the water which they will all like! Edited February 3 by xXInkedPhoenixX Typos suck.

I'm already seeing alage and film on the top of my water. I also just today had my local pet store order 10 chili rasboras. They should be there in around 3 to 7 days for me to pick up. 1

Whitecloud09 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Nice! Obviously just one for a 20g, with they’re diet being, ⬇️ tiny frozen foods such as cyclops and baby brineshrimp, along with regular feedings of zooplankton or phytoplankton and ground-up flake foods. paremeters here ⬇️ 68° - 85° F (20° - 29° C) pH: 6.5 - 7.9. They like a higher flow of water I believe. You might know all of this but idk if you do @JS Fish, hope this is what you meant?
