Something wrong w pleco??

No worries. It happens all the time I just didn’t want the folks who help in the disease section to not see it.

For any body fungus or issues I use kanaplax and jungle fungus fizz tabs with my pleco with a pinch of salt.  They never seem phased by those meds and it works like a charm for me.

I also thoroughly vacuum every inch of the tank regularly to prevent it from occurring.

What are your water parameters ammonia nitrite nitrate pH KH GH temperature what are your feeding and how often is it eating ok any rapid breathing hanging out near the surface lethargy sunken belly

Water parameters : nitrate 40, nitrite 0, 75 hardness, 0 alkalinity, 6.8 ph. I need to do a vacuum clean, but I noticed a film on a few fish so I treated w jungle fizz tabs. Do a partial tom n vacuum

Do you have an ammonia test kit pleco can be messy fish and need a lot of filtration one of my 6in bristlenose pleco produces more waste then 15 of my tetras what are you feeding and how often what filtration are you use how often are you doing water changes do you add a water dechlorinator as high levels of ammonia or chlorine can cause over production of the slime coat
