demicent
I am in the process of setting up a medium light tank. If I move over some of my low light plants, like Anubias, will they appreciate the extra light or curl up and die?
Ken Dyer
I would assume they'd be fine, I have a lot of "low light" plants (anubias, java ferns, etc.) in medium-ish light tanks (Fluval 3.0 dialed down a bit) without any issues. If in doubt they can either be moved deeper in the water column or back to the low light tank.
Tanked
As @Ken Dyer said, I assume they will be fine. I have Anubia Nana Petite in what I consider to be a medium light tank. The stunted parent plant has begun putting out new shoots again. The only light related problem I 've had was giving one a sunburn when I planted it too close to the source. I don't know if this normal, but I did end up with larger leaves in the brighter tank.

I have used medium to even high light in my aquariums while using many "low light" plants. Most were basically unaffected, some did transition slightly, I.E. Anubias & Java Moss . The Java Fern seemed the most noticeable for me, with some leaf scorching, under higher lighting. Every tank and exact light situation will be different.
