Catherine Whale
Hello everyone~ I purchased a dwarf aquarium lily from the co-op and had it for a little over a week. I took it out to check on it during a water change and it smelled awful. The bulb didn't feel mushy but there is some white fungus growing on it. No new growth yet. Is it normal for the bulbs to be that stinky? Thanks~
shkote
I have had the same issue with a couple of mine. I would give it a little more time. If it starts to smells worse with no new growth I would toss it. I've noticed even healthy bulbs start to smell a bit after being in water for awhile, but if the smell is that strong it is probably rot. I usually wait until they do feel mushy though.
