Transferring fish

Hi guys, 

 

I’m a newer hobbyist and have a question. Currently have 2 tanks a 9 gallon and a 32 gallon display . I want to transfer the fish from 9 gallon some cardinal tetras( 4)some aru2 (4) , and a bristle nose pleco to the display . If I transfer them should I do 2-4 fish at a time or will I be ok to move everyone at once .

i myself would move them all at once, however if the 32 isnt really well established, do a few at a time , every other day or so, so that the bacteria levels can adjust.

@lefty o it’s established but had an ich outbreak 90 days ago just about time I feel good enough to move the other batch of fish in there . Just scared I’m going to have some die the fish in the 9 gallon have been there for about 4 months

You should be ok to move them as long as the bigger tank isn't overstocked.  You mentioned the ich outbreak, is everything ok in the bigger tank now?  You can opt for a slower approach, move the pleco first, then the rest of the other fish a few days later after everything appears to be ok.

@nabokovfan87 well I transfer them all last night had them acclimating for about two hours before I put them in. Seems fine but two males are now fighting and I don’t know if it’s ok like they’ll fig it out or if I should be worried. 
after the new guys settled in one of my fork tail rainbow started bullying an Aru II

Might just be mating dances.
