beaka
Does anyone change their light settings with regard to Daylight Savings Time? Most of my tanks are entering their first, and I never really thought of it before, but now I am, and am adjusting their feeding and light schedule to reflect this change. Does anyone else, and if so, what do you do?
Daniel
My lights go on and off according to a program that tracks changing day length. So every day they come on a 30 - 60 seconds later and they go off 30 - 60 earlier than the day before. By late December they will reach their shortest time period and stall and then reverse the trend until June of 2021 when they will repeat the cycle again.
Ken Dyer
I am way less fancy than @Daniel. I just turn the dial on my old school light timer until the lights turn on when I want them on in the morning and let the normal schedule resume from there. So I would say yes I adjust my lights for daylight savings time as I would prefer the lights are on when I am in the fishroom and not when I am asleep or at work 😄
