Denise T
Will your nitrites be higher about 5 to 10 minutes after feeding your fish? How long should you wait to test your water after feeding them?
TheSwissAquarist
Nitrate turns into nitrite after being absorbed by plants if I'm not mistaken, so its unlikely that the food shall decompose and turns into nitrates and nitrites in 5-10 mins. Alternatively you could also test the water before feeding. 🙃
Guppysnail
Ideally I test prior to feeding so I know what the tank is digesting in a 24 hour period. Sometimes I can’t so I wait at least 2 hours.
