HelplessNewbie
Boy, am I learning more about nature! I noticed my hygrophila folds up its leaves at night, just around the time lights switch off. It turns out this is called nastic movement, specifically photonasty (nastic movement in response to light stimulus). Night (leaves closed together): Day (leaves opened wide): Edited September 9 by HelplessNewbie 4 1
JoeQ
One of the first things people should observe when adding new plants to their tank. Looking to see if the plant(s) are reacting properly to the light. Even anubias and lillys do this by changing the angle of attack of their leaves. 1
