A week ago I just bought 2 Clown loaches for my 40 gallon tank (temporary tank), but now i just realize that my Clown loaches has a white spot, any medication for these? Colu Posted August 29, 2023 Share Posted August 29, 2023 On 8/29/2023 at 12:18 PM, IlhamSetiawan said: It just likely an ich I don't know, because the test kit are very expensive here He's how you tell if it's ich or epistylis it's often wrongly identifed as ich if it's ich you want to gradually raise the temperature to 82 that will speed up the life cycle of the parasite and treat with a medication containing malachite green such as ick x and aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 4 gallons as ich causes massive electrolyte loss the salt will add back in essential electrolytes just remember to only put back in the amount of salt you take so if you do a 4 gallon water change add back in 1 table spoon of salt if it's epistylis you want to treat with a broad spectrum antibiotic treatment in food such as maracyn2 feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days and aquarium as epistylis feeds off of the gram negative bacteria on the slime coat of your fish and spreads more quickly at higher temperatures just giving you some treatment options for more common disease that cause spots with out a better picture it's difficult to give correct diagnosis @IlhamSetiawan Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
