Kirk
I have 3 of these filters and I need an idea of how to keep fry from getting pulled into the skimmer. I had a neon tetra whom got to close and I found him sucked tight to the skimmer. Need some way of attaching a thin course filter in front of it. Any ideas? Siett88
I have a thin sponge attached with zip ties on my skimmer. All black so its barely noticable.

StephenP2003
I got some plastic mesh from Walmart and used a piece to keep some foam against my skimmer. Stole the idea from another forum.
David Ellsworth
Have the tidal 35 and wanted to correct this issue. I bought some knee high nylon socks from the women's clothing section and cut off the toe area with enough material to stretch over the whole pump and strainer assembly. I then used a rubber band to secure it. It has worked well since then. In hindsight I'd look for a black stocking and try it instead of tan. It was a super cheap solution.
