Shadow
I run ACO CO2 set up and air tubing, but one line seems to be blowing off the diffuser every other day. I am not running it that high and have it at the required just under 50 psi and barely 2 bubbles per second. Not sure what the issue is. Any ideas? FYI I have unhooked the lines and diffuser, changed lines, everything...still does it.
Pepere
Isnt the Co op diffuser designed for 30 psi?

If you really wanted to you could put some duct tape around it or superglue it😅 Maybe the tubing is just old and new tubing would work also? Pepere
CO2 resistant tubing is not that expensive either. $7.00 for 10 feet…
AndEEss
Just under 50 psi is about 15 psi too many, FYI…
Galabar
You could try lowering the output PSI while the diffuser still works...
Andy's Fish Den
Mine and others I know with co2 run the PSI between 30-35 psi. I would lower it and see if it still blows. If that doesn't work, put a new piece of tubing on it, airline tubing is cheap.
madmark285
Small zip ties around the line would help keep it connected
MattyM
I don't understand why AC recommends airline tubing for CO2. It has a larger diameter than CO2 tubing, and will corrode over time from the gas - I have the neo diffuser that AC sells, and use it at 30+ PSI with proper CO2 tubing, no issues. CO2 tubing will not stretch out like airline tubing, at least the kind I use - I have to cut it off the diffuser if I want to remove it.
Ninjoma
I can usually fix this by cleaning off the top of the diffuser, emptying it of water and then reconnecting it + securing it with zip ties. However, I've had to replace the diffuser to get it to stop before. Not sure exactly why it happens.
Shadow
Thanks everyone! As I said, I've changed the air line multi times and use the ACO line, which isn't considered the cheap-o kind. Will def look for CO2 tubing and replace...wasn't aware there was specific tubing for such. Shows how much I have to learn...thanks again y'all!!
