John Collins
Looking for some thoughts and feedback. I don't like the way the course sponges of aquarium coop sponge filters leak air. So I tried this. It's easy to disconnect the filter from the airline for cleaning (just lift it out). The lift tube is no narrower than the open area within the sponge filter. I'm sure it's still getting some lift, my question is, is it enough to get enough flow to do any good?
Shadow
So you need to take the sponge filter apart and on the inside there is a small circular spot to attach the airstone via a small piece of air tube. Then you hook the air line to the top there where you have the air stone lying currently. Here are some pics...will look for a video for you. That’s how I had it, but I didn’t like that despite careful placement of the air stone and the filter, bubbles escaped trough the sponge. So I’m trying this. I think it should work something like this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1289933237/sponge-filter-turbocharger-unleash?click_key=abbfc105164ad2e9cb83f4b9b5dda9b11388f917%3A1289933237&click_sum=4788cc43&ref=user_profile&sts=

I could be wrong, but it shouldn't work that way properly.
