reana333
I got a nerite snail from my local pet store. When I first got it I noticed it had two small chips in its shell before putting it in my tank, and then it got worse from there. I've had it for two weeks. Any ideas what this is? Calcium deficiency or some kind of disease?
Guppysnail
The shell looks like an injury. What is your ph and gh. Snails need calcium and magnesium in the water (gh) and a ph over 7 to avoid shell erosion. The calcium in the diet will help them build new shell and repair damage. Kats aquatics makes calcium chips my nerites will eat. They are picky so it’s harder to get them dietary calcium. Good luck I hope you little one recovers.
