Monkeypoint
Since my aquarium collection started expanding, I've grown increasingly reluctant to leave town for fear of coming home to an apocalypse. Actually, I don't even want to leave my house (just want to watch shrimp and snails all day). How do you deal with tank maintenance if you have to skip town? AllFishNoBrakes
1 day to up to a week, a whole lot of nothing. If someone stays at the house to watch the dog, and I trust them to follow directions, I’ll leave notes on the tank with how much to feed. I have a tiny scoop from the Xtreme Betta Pellets and I’ll put a sticky note with something like “1 scoop morning, 1 scoop night” or “2 scoops night” and usually have them feed Xtreme Nano Pellets. If we take the dog with us for a couple of days, I do a whole lot of nothing.
Monkeypoint
I'm usually juggling dogs - taking one with me, boarding the other. I'm not worried about short trips but 10 days or more and things get complicated.

FrozenFins
As @AllFishNoBrakes said, if its just the weekend the fish will be fine. If im leaving for a week or longer, ill place food in pill organizers. I will let whoever is coming to take care of the fish to simply do one box per feeding. Feed once every 2 days. This will limit the amount of amonia in the aquarium.

Scrum Fish
Same as most of the replies here: if it's a few days I do nothing at all. If I'll be gone for a week or so and someone is coming by to check on the mail, etc, then I'll set out a few little packets of food and instructions to feed once every couple of days or so.
