starsman20
last Wednesday I received 10 cherry shrimp from aqua huna (used the coop code). 5 days later I thought a few of them had died as I found 3 white casings. But I counted 10 shrimp so some must have molted already. Is that usual so quick and is it a good sign? These are my first shrimps. They are in a 10g with a betta. Who pretty much ignores them best I can tell.
Candi
It's normal for shrimp to molt. I wouldn't be concerned.
Kat_Rigel
I agree with Candi, I wouldn't be concerned. Sometimes molting can be a sign of stress (which, moving to a new tank would probably qualify as stressful,) but it's not a "red flag," just keep watching and enjoying them, Good luck! I really, really love my cherry shrimp, I think you'll enjoy them too. 🙂
